Mr. Musique Studio Lesson Policy Contract Agreement

1) Courteous Communication
When you sign up for music lessons with Mr. Musique Studio, you are entering into a BUSINESS relationship, and are expected and obligated to follow a certain number of common-sense rules.  The student as well, is expected to follow a few rules regarding how they organize their lesson work, practice time, and schedule.   Your Music instructor teaches lessons for a living, and music teaching is a full-time business.   Music teachers earn a living and pay their bills with only the money received from lesson tuition, and so it is absolutely necessary to read, understand, and commit to the following lesson and payment policies before signing up for lessons.

2) PAYMENTS:
Tuition payment is due at the first lesson, and from then on at the month’s last lesson, to reserve your scheduled lesson time for the following month. All lesson payments must be paid in advance before we can start with lesson instruction. Payments can be in the form of cash, venmo, or check, payable to: Michael Ribiat. Partial monthly payments are not accepted. If you need to cancel the first lesson of the month, the full monthly payment must be made at the next lesson.

3) CANCELLATIONS POLICY:
7 DAYS NOTICE REQUIRED, NO SAME DAY CANCELLATIONS  If you cancel day of or do not show up for your lesson, you automatically get charged in full for the scheduled lesson time. Lesson prices are based on a monthly flat rate, not how many lessons a student actually attends. If you must cancel a lesson, a makeup lesson will be offered. If you are unable to do the makeup lesson, there are no refunds or discounts. Cancellations the day of the lesson and a “No Call, No Show” will not be offered a makeup lesson. Emergency situations are treated differently and are based on the situation. If I must cancel, a makeup lesson will always be offered.

4) MAKEUP LESSONS:
Three make-up lessons are offered within a revolving 6 month period.  Make-up lessons are scheduled based upon Instructor availability,  and subject to approval.

5) EXTENDED ABSENCES:
If you will be off the schedule for three or more weeks, a $10 fee per week will be assessed in order to keep your time slot, otherwise your time slot will be given up and would be subject to the current availability and monthly rate.

6) LATE/TARDY:
ALL lessons start ON TIME, if a student is late to their lesson, the lesson will NOT go over the scheduled time. Example: if a  lesson is scheduled at 10:00am for an hour and the student arrives at 10:15 am, their lesson will still end at 11:00 am. So please be mindful to arrive prepared and on time.

7) PREPAREDNESS:
Students are expected to come to each lesson with their music, fully prepared and ready to play. It is the student’s responsibility to meet the practice requirements set each week. Practicing what you've learned at lessons is key to excelling and advancing musical studies. Children are expected to be well behaved and respectful during their lesson.  Rude behavior will not be tolerated  and will result in a student being dropped from the studio roster
